Structural Innovation and Materials
The Axiom bridge utilizes an advanced aluminum-brass structure, originating from aerospace applications. This technology ensures an exceptional high stiffness-to-weight ratio, which is critical for acceleration and accuracy. The machine’s granite table and aluminum bridge are designed to react to temperature changes in a controlled manner, and automatic temperature compensation ensures the comparability of the results to standard conditions.
Flexibility and Performance
The Axiom is available in various sizes and can be equipped with either traditional touch-probe measurement or advanced scanning technology. The device’s maintenance-free belt-drive system is designed to withstand heavy use without backlash or wear, ensuring a long service life and low operating costs. The Axiom is available in both CNC versions for automated measuring cycles and manual versions for rapid, random measurements.

Adaptive Precision
Full aluminum beam structure ensures Axiom’s low inertia, which enables the rapid execution of the work requiring large accelerations. In addition, the structure ensures that the beam’s temperature adapts quickly to the surrounding environment’s temperature – this is optimal when the coordinate measuring machine is not used in a controlled laboratory environment. The software-included temperature compensation reports the results as if they were measured at a standard temperature of 20°C.
Reliable Precision
Initially developed for the optical industry, this high-tech granite-aluminum table offers excellent natural damping for high-frequency noise. Furthermore, the granite Y-axis allows for pre-tensioning of air lift spindles in both directions, ensuring superior measurement accuracy.
