Aberlink Halo CNC CMM
Aberlink Halo represents a high-performance bridge-type coordinate measuring machine that combines speed, reliability, and excellent value for money. It is designed to utilize the same structural foundation as the manufacturer’s most precise model, Horizon, but is equipped with a proven and fault-tolerant belt-drive system. This makes Halo the optimal solution for inspection departments and demanding production environments.
Accuracy and Dynamic Performance
Halo is specifically designed for fast and smooth movement, which is a critical factor in scanning measurement applications. The device’s volumetric accuracy starts at as low as 1.8 microns (SP25M sensor), and its maximum vector speed is 1000 mm/s. High acceleration (1000 mm/s²) enables short cycle times for inspecting complex components without increasing measurement uncertainty.
Structure and Reliability
The device’s base is a massive granite table with high load-carrying capacity (up to 1000 kg). The X-, Y- and Z-axis belt drives are based on the Axiom series, which ensures smooth and maintenance-free operation. Halo is available in two different frame versions (Halo and Halo Large), offering four different axis length combinations, allowing it to flexibly adapt to the user’s capacity requirements.
