MVD iShear B -series – Powerful and Precise Sheet Metal Shear for Demanding Metalworking
The iShear B series hydraulic guillotine shear is designed to produce consistent, high-quality, and efficient cuts in demanding production environments. The machine utilizes a swing beam structure, which provides stable and controlled movement and allows for high cutting speeds without compromising accuracy. MVD’s developed dual-speed concept significantly increases productivity: the machine is capable of up to 50 percent greater cutting volume per minute compared to its original capacity, making it an excellent solution for mass production and repetitive thin sheet metal processing.
Cutting capacity ranges from six millimeters to 25 millimeters, and the machine is available in various length options from two to six meters. A fixed cutting angle and a low cutting tool angle structure ensure a clean and straight cut even with thicker materials. A robust frame structure and precisely machined components ensure that the machine maintains its performance and dimensional accuracy for a long time even in heavy use.
The machine’s control is handled by the ESA625 touchscreen control unit, which makes setting adjustments clear and fast. An NC-controlled, programmable and motorized rear extension operates consistently up to one thousand millimeters and includes both return and swing-up functions, which facilitate the processing of long sheets. Blade adjustment is manual and easily accessible, allowing for the optimal processing of materials of different thicknesses. The upper blade is double-edged and the lower blade is four-edged, which extends the blade lifespan and reduces the need for maintenance.
Features supporting availability and safety include a roller table on the front table, clear measuring scales, front supports, and a illuminated cutting line. Protective devices – such as a front guard, side guards, rear safety features, and emergency stops – comply with CE requirements and make working safe. A wide range of accessories, such as pneumatic sheet metal supports, automatic blade adjustment, angle measure and special blades, allows the machine to be customized precisely to production needs.

Extended Front Support Arms
Arms to be mounted on the machine’s front side, which significantly facilitate the handling and feeding of large and heavy sheet metal blanks for cutting.
Pneumatic Sheet Support (Type B)
Advanced pneumatic support system that supports thin sheet metal throughout the entire feeding phase, preventing material deformation due to its own weight. Type B allows for controlled removal of the cut piece either to the machine’s front or rear side, which improves material sorting and further processing.
Electrical Cabinet Cooling Unit
Active climate control system for electrical cabinets, which keeps components at an optimal temperature. This is an essential equipment in hot conditions or heavy shift work to avoid electrical disturbances.
