APL‑plasma cut-off machine is designed to bring efficiency, accuracy, and reliability to metal cutting, even when available space is limited. Its robust steel structure and high-end plasma technology enable fast and high-quality cutting of various metal thicknesses without complex gas control. The machine’s performance is based on Hypertherm’s XPR‑ and HPR‑series power sources, which provide a smooth cutting edge and a long service life for wear parts. APL’s 5-axis bevel head integrates bevel production directly into the cutting process, eliminating the need for manual handling and producing parts directly ready for welding. Handling of thick materials is also effortless, as oxy-fuel cutting extends up to 150 millimeters and allows for quick switching between plasma and flame cutting.

The machine’s cutting table is equipped with efficient dust extraction, CNC-controlled automatic doors, and adjustable grilles that keep the working environment clean and safe. The torch height adjustment works automatically: the collision protection prevents damage and the system measures the sheet surface at the beginning of each new cut, ensuring that the cutting height remains optimal throughout the entire process. All dust and gas extraction solutions meet CE requirements and ensure that the working environment is tidy and environmentally friendly.

APL’s software platform supports smooth and efficient production. The included ProNest CAD/CAM software optimizes part positioning, reduces material waste, and improves overall efficiency. The machine is available in several sizes, which allows for the processing of various sized sheets or multiple sheets simultaneously and provides flexibility for various production needs. Plasma Cutting

APL revolutionizes plasma cutting technology by offering even greater speed, consistency, and cutting capacity with high precision. The device’s performance has been enhanced with leading Hypertherm technology. The APL plasma cutting unit is available with either Hypertherm XPR- or HPR-series options to meet customer’s individual needs.

5-axis Chamfering Head

The chamfering head eliminates manual handling and the need for internal logistics in your factory. By integrating chamfering directly into the cutting machine, functions are streamlined and productivity increases. Thanks to this technology, machined parts are finished with precisely chamfered edges, ready for immediate assembly and welding. It removes the need for manual work steps, which speeds up the manufacturing process and reduces the risk of human errors.

Gas Cutting

The APL machine’s gas cutting feature is capable of handling materials up to 150 mm thick. Preheating time can be shortened, which allows for immediate start of the cutting process and speeds up operation. Easy switching between plasma and gas cutting facilitates processing of various material thicknesses. The machine can use different gases depending on the currently used high-speed nozzle.

Cutting Table

Cutting tables are equipped with extraction function. They have automatic doors and adjustable grates, with which the connected filter unit removes gases and fumes. The doors are controlled by CNC control: the door where the plasma or gas torch is working at any given time opens automatically.

Torch Height Control

Magnetic collision protection protects the torch from damage by preventing collisions on all axes. To correct any possible height deviations in the sheet, the torch touches and measures the sheet surface before each new cutting stage. The system utilizes arc voltage feedback control and CNC control to accurately adjust the torch height to achieve optimal cutting quality.

Cutting and Dust Extraction Unit

The Cutting and Dust Extraction Unit efficiently collects dust, smoke and scale generated during gas and plasma cutting. Gases are effectively filtered before being released into the air, ensuring a clean final result. All APL machines’ filters strictly meet CE regulations and international standards.

In the APL system, there are reliable and flexibly customizable integrated functions for a seamless cutting experience.
