METEOR is a compact, versatile and highly accurate single-spindle boring mill designed especially for the needs of small and medium-sized steel construction companies. It performs drilling, milling, profiling, threading and marking without manual adjustments, which speeds up production and reduces downtime. The machine’s 250 mm sub‑spindle allows the spindle’s precise lateral movement without relocating the machine frame, which improves efficiency by up to 50%. The six-station automatic tool changer, robust workpiece clamping and hydraulic profile rotation make METEOR a reliable and high-performance solution for machining modern steel profiles.

Drilling
METEOR is equipped with a high-speed spindle that allows for efficient drilling with hard metal drill bits. The machine’s robust construction and precise control ensure an excellent drilling result and dimensional accuracy. The motor’s high torque allows for the rapid and reliable processing of even demanding materials.
The machine has a 250 mm widget axis (Sub-axis), which allows the drilling unit to move independently while the material remains in place. This feature significantly increases cutting accuracy and speed when multiple holes can be drilled on the same fixture without the need to move the entire profile.
Automatic Tool Changer
The machine has a 6-station automatic tool changer (ATC). This allows for drilling, tapping, countersinking and layout marking to be performed with a single program without operator intervention. The automatic changer minimizes setup time and maximizes the machine’s effective working time.
Material Fixation
METEOR utilizes vertical and horizontal hydraulic presses for material stabilization during processing. A robust fix is crucial for eliminating vibration, which improves surface quality and protects tools from premature wear.
Profile Flipper (Beam Flipper)
METEOR is equipped with a hydraulic Beam Flipper system that automatically rotates the profile 90 or 180 degrees. This allows for the processing of all three sides (flaps and edges) of the profile with a single drilling unit without external lifting or manual rotation, maximizing workplace safety and productivity.
Software
AKYAPAK Meteor Controller is a customized software that improves efficiency with a user-friendly interface. It supports multiple units of measurement and ten different zero points, offering fast dimensioning, axis adjustments and seamless remote diagnostics.
