Twin-Arm Vertical Sheet Metal Machining Centre for High Volume Production
Shinzawa MTS-500 and MTS-5A are high-quality, Taiwan-made twin-arm vertical sheet metal machining centres designed specifically for high volume production. They offer a combination of reliability, accuracy, and efficiency that meets the needs of demanding industries – such as automotive, electronics, and machinery manufacturing.
A key strength of the machines is their twin-arm structure, allowing two workpieces to be machined simultaneously. This nearly doubles the production capacity compared to traditional single-arm machines – without additional space requirements. The MTS-5A model also features independent arms, which increases flexibility and enables the simultaneous machining of different parts in parallel.
Shinzawa machines are manufactured in a modern production facility in Taiwan, which is known for its high level of expertise in sheet metal machining equipment. A robust cast iron frame, high-quality components, and precise assembly ensure that the machines withstand heavy use and deliver consistent performance year after year. These features make the MTS series an excellent choice when you want to maximize productivity without compromising on quality or accuracy.

Double Magazine
The machine is equipped with two independent 24-slot tool magazines, one for each blade. This allows for simultaneous and fast tool changing for both blades, which optimizes machining time and almost doubles production capacity compared to traditional machines.
Low Center of Gravity
The machine frame is designed with a low center of gravity, which maximizes dynamic stability during processing. This structure minimizes frame sway and vibration during rapid accelerations and directional changes. The result is excellent dimensional accuracy, improved surface quality, and reduced structural stress in the machine for long-term series production.
Real-time Monitoring
The system provides continuous information about the machine’s status and the machining process. Real-time monitoring allows for the tracking of both workpieces and tool changes with a single glance, ensuring process stability, speeding up responses to deviations, and maximizing production with high utilization rates.
Three-Axis Roller Chains
All three axes use robust roller type linear guides. Unlike traditional ball guides, the rollers offer a larger contact surface, maximizing stiffness and load capacity. This design effectively dampens vibration and ensures precise motion control even in fast continuous production.
Hood Support
A wide hood support span distributes cutting and bending forces over a large area, minimizing distortion and vibration. This rigid structure ensures stable and precise positioning for both hoods, even when using high feed rates or heavy chip loads.
